Dr. Cheryl Ross-Cammock, referred to as Dr. Cammock, is a Pediatric Cardiologist who specializes in diagnosing and treating known or suspected heart defects from fetal life through late adolescent years (age 21). Dr Cammock is passionate about providing access to high quality medical care for children and empowering families to actively engage in improving their health. She aims to serve families who want one-on-one access to their cardiologist, great personalized care & attention to their needs.

The scope of her practice includes serving families of children with congenital heart defects, like heart septal defects, valve abnormalities, and complex congenital heart defects. She also treats children with heart abnormalities related to gene defects, like Downs and DiGeorge Syndromes. Dr. Cammock diagnoses fetal heart anomalies and helps families understand the up-to -date treatment options. She also treats children with acquired heart problems like myocarditis (inflammation of the heart muscle); and cardiomyopathy (abnormal function of the heart muscle), to name a few. With more than 10 years of experience as a Pediatric Cardiologist, she is available to consult on questions parents and providers have about a child’s heart murmur, chest pain, dizzy spells, rapid or irregular heartbeats, hypertension, and high cholesterol and much more. For children and adolescents with concerning family history of early cardiovascular illness or mortality; and young athletes with potential cardiac symptoms; she performs most of the necessary evaluation and testing on site. Families will be provided with a deeper understanding of the child’s cardiovascular risk.

Dr. Cammock completed her medical school training at the Medical College of Pennsylvania / Hahnemann (now Drexel College of Medicine), then her residency at State University of New York (S.U.N.Y. Downstate). She was elected Pediatric Chief Resident at S.U.N.Y. and then completed her cardiology fellowship and fetal heart training at UCLA Medical Center. At UCLA, she later served as Clinical Instructor and Researcher, studying the effects of coxsackievirus myocarditis in the young. Dr. Cammock became Assistant Professor at Wake Forest Baptist Health Brenner Children’s Hospital, where she was known for her clinical acumen in diagnosing & treating children with cardiomyopathy & heart failure. She completed advanced training in pediatric heart failure /heart transplantation management at Washington University (St. Louis Children’s Hospital). She is board certified by the American Board of Pediatric Subspecialties in Pediatric Cardiology. Dr. Cammock has clinical privileges to admit patients at Nemours Children’s Health (Delaware), Stanford Children’s Health (California) and Inspira Health (New Jersey).

Dr. Cheryl Cammock is available onsite in BOTH offices (East Norriton starting in September 2023). She offers both in-person and Telemedicine visits, performs diagnostic tests on-site including ECG, ECHO, and heart monitor. She accepts most major insurances. For those patients who will not be using insurance, she offers a sliding scale fee schedule for most services, so that patients can get the personalized care they need.
