Covid-19 testing

We are doing testing at a car-visit in front of the office for any patient who wants one. If the child is currently sick, the test is a painful nasal swab. If the child was sick over 4 weeks ago, we have a finger stick test and a blood draw that can be sent to LabCorp. The nasal swab has a 40% false negative rate. The finger stick is not approved by the FDA, and costs $25 if not covered by insurance. The maker of the test says it is very accurate but the FDA has not weighed in. The LabCorp test is covered by the FDA but we are not sure how accurate it is.
